OKX not working?
Fix it here.

OKX won't load or you can't log in

1. Check the URL: only okx.com. “Mirror sites”, “backup URLs” and “new official site” links in search results are mostly phishing.
2. Update the app from an official store or the OKX download page.
3. Clear cache and switch networks between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
4. Check regional restrictions: OKX doesn't serve some countries and regions.
5. Contact live chat from the app or website.

No verification code, or ID verification failed

No SMS or email code

• SMS: check whether international or promotional SMS is blocked and the country code is right, then wait 60 seconds and resend.
• Email: check spam and promotions folders, and allowlist OKX's official sender domain.
• Still failing: sign up with email instead, or use a voice code if offered.

Identity verification (KYC) failed

• Glare, blur or cropped edges on the ID photo;
• Name or ID number doesn't match the document;
• Face check in poor light, or with a hat or reflective glasses;
• The ID is already verified on another account (one identity, one account).

Retake as prompted. After repeated failures, ask live chat for a manual review.

Account restricted, limited or frozen

Common triggers: a large withdrawal right after switching devices, login locations jumping between countries, unusual large trades, funds from suspicious sources, or P2P complaints.

1. Check in-app messages and email for the reason and what's needed.
2. Submit what's requested, such as source of funds, trade screenshots or a face check. Reviews usually take several business days.
3. Temporary limits lift on their own: after changing a password or security settings, withdrawals are often paused for 24–48 hours. Logging in, depositing and trading usually still work.
4. Use official channels only: live chat in the app.

Withdrawal pending or deposit missing

Confirmed on-chain transfers can't be reversed, so always test with a small amount first.

Five security settings every new user should enable

1. Passkey or authenticator app: safer than SMS codes.
2. Anti-phishing code: genuine OKX emails show it; if it's missing, the email is fake.
3. Withdrawal address allowlist: only withdraw to addresses you added.
4. Face check for large withdrawals: an extra layer if your password leaks.
5. Review logged-in devices and remove anything you don't recognize.

In September 2026 OKX launched OKX Shield in the European Economic Area: accounts with the required security settings can be reimbursed up to €500,000 after a third-party account takeover (EEA only, subject to OKX terms). Wherever you are, turn these settings on.
